Denise Beilby

At an Arts and Craft Exhibition in 1993 I discovered découpage. Up until this time I had been dabbling in ceramics, throwing reasonable shapes but when it came to decoration my skills were sadly lacking. On investigating the art of decoupage a little more I decided I would like to find out more. I enrolled in a Nerida Singleton workshop November 1993 and because of my interest in ceramics, Nerida suggested that I might consider a Val Lade workshop.

Val is known for her beautiful work on ceramics, hence the following April (1994) I attended Val's workshop. From that moment on I was hooked. I am passionate about the art of découpage and love every facet of the art.
